William Jeffery is a jazz musician with passion, exuberance and creativity. Born and raised in Dallas, Texas, he has always been involved in music. After studying at Texas Southern University, he later moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in music. He plays both the drums and piano. Some of his compositions include "Very Special" performed by Debra Laws, "Tidal Wave" performed by Ronnie Laws, "Friends and Strangers" performed by Ronnie Laws and "Always There" performed by Ronnie Laws. Given his numerous classic hits, many artists have sampled his work, ranging from Usher, Jennifer Lopez, Mary J. Blige, Fabolous, K. Michelle, Wale to Wiz Khalifa.
William Jeffery majored in Music while studying at Texas Southern University. After graduation, he was accepted into the University of Southern California for a graduate program for musicians. He chose not to enroll in the program and began writing his own compositions. He would play at local jazz clubs while writing songs in the studio. He worked closely with Hubert Laws and Ronnie Laws. He met Lisa Peters, they began composing together and wrote "Very Special".
William Jeffery is an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and enjoys cooking at home. He has a wife, son, daughter and two grandchildren. His children find him humorous and often find themselves quoting their father, "All these lights on in the house? We're gonna be light bill of the month!". He currently resides in Los Angeles, California
